PROFESSIONAL POLICE OFFICERS CREDIT UNION JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Member Service Representative Salary Range is determined based on experience. Primary Functions: Handle all member service functions; maintains records and summaries of teller transactions; filing of account cards, account change cards, maintenance cards, miscellaneous papers. Normal duties and responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with members to promote services and products.
  2. Serve as primary MSR.
  3. Process various member transactions- deposits, withdrawals, loan and credit card payments, cashier checks, update members problems and complaints, wire transfers, complete payroll deduction forms, direct deposit forms.
  4. Responsible for maintaining and balancing the vault and cash drawer at end of day.
  5. Responsible for proper storage and retention of all records of daily work for future reference.
  6. Open and close various types of accounts, certificates, etc.
  7. Create and order ATM/Debit cards for members.
  8. Process stop payments and wire transfers, print statements and history for members.
  9. File general office information, loan papers, and member correspondence, and shreds daily reports.
  10. Assist with routine accounting activities.
  11. Develop a working knowledge of the credit union’s electronic data processing system.
  12. Prepares daily deposit for Check 21 processing.
  13. Reconcile front-line inventory.
  14. BSA Compliancy.
  15. Adhere to compliancy of all credit union policies and procedures.
  16. Responsible for the return and special mailing statements.
  17. Responsible for obtaining theme park ticket information.
  18. Responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining amounts within the budget.
  19. Assist in any area as directed by the president/treasurer or operations manager.

Education and Experience:
High School Graduate MSR training Previous cash handling experience Typing skills, bookkeeping, and clerical knowledge, adding machine skills Ability to handle member problems over the phone and in person Interested in the welfare of people Good conversationalist, very pleasant and helpful Progressive minded, dedicated, and alert to the conditions of time. A thorough understanding of credit union philosophy
